This can happen when dealing with wooden pallet and plastic pallet suppliers. However, it shouldn’t be the case, and you should ensure that the specifications of your pallets are consistently maintained. These are vital to support product integrity and keep your employees safe.
When suppliers, including pallet companies, are trying to secure new business, they will often promise customers things that they cannot actually deliver on or maintain. This could be regarding the quality of the wood that they use, the methods of ISPM15 treatment that they employ or the promise of a low price point. Often, after a few months of consistent service, the quality level is reduced and your specifications are no longer being met on a regular basis. Pallet specifications are an important factor and should be consistently maintained.
The Importance of Specifications
The specifications of a pallet will depend on the nature of a company’s business and the type of goods that are being stored or transported. This could include the type of wood that is used to manufacture the pallet. Some are made using higher-quality materials, which will result in a stronger and more durable and long-lasting pallet. However, the wooden pallets price of these will be higher than that of one using a lower-quality wood.
A company might also specify the size or weight limits of the pallet or even the spacing of nails or the moisture content. All of these will have an impact on the quality of the pallet and the price you will pay. However, whatever specifications you have for your pallets, they are there for a reason and shouldn’t be altered unnecessarily.

When a wooden pallet is constructed with a higher moisture content, it could affect the items that are loaded onto it, especially if the pallet isn’t stored in accordance with the guidelines for that specification. It’s important that you’re aware of any changes that are made to the structure of your pallets.
When you’re choosing a pallet supplier, you want one that you are not going to notice. This means that they are working consistently and reliability, with no cause for concern. They deliver products that meet your specifications every time. A minor error can be overlooked and forgiven, but consistently not meeting standards is a problem that needs to be dealt with swiftly.
